Voter Registration

Oak Park Township makes community impact and resident involvement easier by offering voter registration services to all its residents at our Township Administration office.

Things to remember when registering:

  • You must be a U.S citizen
  • You must be 18 years old by election day. 
  • Bring in two forms of identification. One ID must include your current address. 
  • Applications for handicapped or absentee voting are available and should be requested at least two weeks prior to the election.

Key Dates for November 6, 2012 Presidential Election:
9/27/12      First day absentee ballot applications are accepted
10/09/12    Last day to register to vote
10/10/12    First day of grace period registration and voting
10/22/12    First day of Early Voting
11/03/12    Last day of of grace period registration and voting
11/03/12    Last day of Early Voting
11/01/12    Last day to request a mail ballot, including military and overseas voters
11/04/12    In-person absentee voting begins 
11/05/12    Last day voted mail ballots can be postmarked or for in-person absentee voting
11/06/12    Election Day

The Township will have extended hours for your convenience:
Wed 10/03     Open until 8pm
Thurs 10/04   Open until 8pm
Sat 10/06      Open 9-12 noon
Tues 10/09    Open untl 8pm
