Voter Registration

Oak Park Township makes community impact and resident involvement easier by offering voter registration services to all its residents at our Township Administration office.

Things to remember when registering:

  • You must be a U.S citizen
  • You must be 18 years old by election day.   Any 17 year old citizen who will turn 18 before November 8, 2016 can register to vote.  
  • Bring in two forms of identification. One ID must include your current address. Acceptable forms of ID include
    • Illinois driver's license
    • Illinois state ID
    • Employee or student ID
    • Credit Card
    • Social Security Card
    • Utility bill in applicant's name
    • Valid U.S. passport
  • Proof of residency at least 30 days prior to Election Day is required.
  • Applications for handicapped or absentee voting are available and should be requested at least two weeks prior to the election.

April 4th, 2017 Consolidated Election

3/19/2017     Last day to register to vote by online application
3/20/2017     First day of early voting
4/3/2017       Last day of early voting
4/4/2017       Last day mail ballots can be postmarked
4/4/2017       Election Day
 
Early Voting and Absentee Ballots
For early voting locations, voters registered in suburban Cook County can visit the Cook County Clerk website. Oak Park residents can also contact the Village Clerk at Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison Street, call 708-358-5670, or visit www.oak-park.us for more information.

Oak Park Village Hall's early voting hours will be:  Monday, March 20th to Monday, April 3rd, from 9am-5pm except Sundays.
