Support Programs

Oak Park Township strives to promote the well being of all its older residents. We offer a wide variety of affordable, and often free, services geared toward enhancing and improving the quality of life of our senior residents including:

  • Chore Program: Assistance with basic household chores
     
  • Affordable Wills: Low-cost will services
     
  • Are You OK?: Free daily call by the Oak Park Police Department
     
  • Circuit Breaker: Free ride and license plate discount
     
  • Energy Assistance: Annual grants and energy assistance
     
  • Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP): Assistance with applying for Medicare health insurance and assistance with accessing benefits and services.
     
  • Tax-Aide: Free preparation of state and federal income tax 
     
  • Carrier Watch Program: No mail pick-up alerts to police if mail unattended for two days
     
  • Caregiver Support Program: Respite in-home, out of home, or in an adult daycare services
