December 15, 2017

Oak Park Township Senior Services has been approved to assist the community by processing CEDA/LIHEAP energy assistance applications again this year.  We have worked diligently to provide this service to low income residents in the community since 1977.  While we were ready to complete the applications and had requests for appointments since the beginning of October, we were unable to process the electronic applications until the end of the month.  During that time, we made necessary accommodations for residents to have their applications completed at other locations.  Once we had access to process applications, staff immediately began taking appointments and have successfully handled all applications which were made for the October and November schedule.

Currently, December appointments are being taken and those on the waiting list will be seen beginning in January.  To be added to Oak Park Township’s waiting list, schedule an appointment, or for more information, please call 708-383-8060.

If residents wish to seek immediate assistance with their applications, they may visit the following local sites:

Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action
411 W. Madison St.
Maywood, IL  60153
(First 50 applicants accepted per day)

Solutions  for Care
