FIRST INSTALLMENT TAX BILLS ARE DUE MARCH 1

First installment property tax bills for tax year 2012 arrived in the last week of January, according to Oak Park Township Assessor Ali ElSaffar. “Property taxes are paid in two installments,” ElSaffar said. “The first installment bill is fifty-five percent (55%) of the total property tax bill for the previous year, and will be due on March 1.”

Senior citizens struggling with property taxes can defer payment of their property taxes until their homes or condominiums are sold. Click here for further details.    

Congratulations to John Williams, Youth Services Director, for winning the NAMI Illinois 2012 Heroes Award. He will receive the award under the category of Education/ Katie Petray Excellence in Education along side Tom Johnson, for Co-facilitating the Illinois Crisis Intervention Team Training Program.  All 2012 NAMI Heroes will be awarded at a luncheon on Saturday, October 20.  For more information click here.
