Current Employment Openings: 

Oak Park Township is seeking an experienced professional to coordinate the activities of a grant funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to reduce underage drinking in Oak Park and River Forest. The position includes building, facilitating, and sustaining a community coalition to develop and implement evidence-based strategies. Specifically, the goal of the coalition, the Oak Park River Forest Workgroup for Positive Youth Development, is to reduce rates of drinking by 8th to 12th graders as reported in the bi-annual Illinois Youth Survey.

The Community Mental Health Board of Oak Park Township is seeking applicants for a part-time Office Administrator- 16 hours per week.  Duties are general administrative services necessary for the effective operation of the Community Mental Health Board.  Primary duties consist of answering calls and emails, providing resource information to the community, scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, preparing letters, and writing meeting minutes. 

Skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational and interpersonal abilities. Hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday, 9-5, with one Tuesday night meeting each month.  Applicants must have office administration experience, and a familiarity with Oak Park and the surrounding suburbs is preferred.  Applicants will be subject to a criminal background check.
